You Make My {heart} Sing

I created this layout for the Opening Night Challenge at the Scrapbooking Top 50 cyber crop.

The challenge criteria:
Create a card or mini layout (smaller than 12x12) containing musical notes.
*Must be individual notes, not a whole row of notes.

- Layout is 8.5 x 11

Musical note stamp is by Unity Stamp Company from Stamp & Scrapbook Madness.

- Photo is of dd the morning of her first day of pre-Prep.

Thanks for looking xx

Sandi Thom inspired this one!

As soon as I saw this great photo of my little princess (taken by the immensely talented and uber sensational photographer to the stars Ms Andrea Thompson!) I immediately knew I had to scrap it somehow incorporating one of her favourite songs "I Wish I Was A Punk Rocker (with flowers in my hair)" by Sandi Thom...

And it just so happened that one of the challenges at Scrapbooking Top 50 in July was to scrap a "Girly Grunge" layout and incorporate a song title.  What perfect timing!!!

This was my first ever attempt at doing the "grunge" thing and I'm actually pretty happy with how it turned out.

Thanks for looking.

More layouts to share...

These ones were created for the July challenges at Scrapping Outback.

This one was created using the four product kit from Scrapping Outback.
Miss Cait is looking rather like she belongs in the Twilight saga with her fangs showing here...
Ahh, the joys of losing those two front teeth.

This one was for the White with One challenge...
can you guess what colour the "one" was in July...
Yep, you guessed it... PURPLE!
The pic is of my little princess with our two gorgeous guinea pigs, Jasper & Emmett (Cullen of course!)
Aptly named because they enjoy nibbling on our necks!!!

Thanks for looking.

Some recent layouts

Here are some layouts I've created for the August cybercrop at Scrapbboking Top 50.
The crop had a "What's Cooking" theme, so everything was food related in some way.

Thanks for looking.

It's been a long time coming...

but finally I have managed to get around to creating a blog again!

Hopefully I'll remember to post on a regular basis and will be sure to share a bit of scrapping and some random ponderings along the way...

To kick things off, I just have to show you a couple of layouts that have been judged prize-worthy...

This one took out the prize for Challenge Two in the August cybercrop at Scrapbooking Top 50 (a gorgeous pack of handmade embellies from Purple Pumpkin).

This one took out Trudi's Sketch Challenge for July at Scrapping Outback...

Be sure to check out the monthly challenges and cybercrops at Scrapping Outback...
They're always heaps of fun and the forum gals are a very friendly bunch!
